Shimla Heritage
Description
This tour will reintroduce you to the rich English history sprouted on the Indian land and the influence our British ancestors on it. Shimla is the town where you can trace back the records of most renowned figures of British rule and their signature architecture, carefully preserved till this day. Shimla is like an open museum where visitors can observe the buildings, markets and lifestyle, framed under different periods and art movements. Most of these architectural gems are listed by UNESCO as World Heritage. Another such property is the TOY TRAIN that rattles between the hills of Shimla and Kalka. You will also visit Chail, a place discovered and established by a pricked Indian Maharaja who was in love with an English woman. Chail has a palace and some villages that seem to be resting under the shade of mighty Himalayas.
Tour Program (4 Nights / 5 Days)
This is going to be the most wonderful five days tour, travelling by road and by train. We will visit the places in Shimla and Chail that have made history and shaped an entire nation. We will also see the Rock Garden built by Nek Chand in Chandigarh.

Arrival at International Airport Delhi
The flight will land approximately at 9 AM. Our agent will pick you from the airport and will drive you to the hotel for check-in and lunch. After lunch we will visit Qutub Minar and step into the bustling markets of Delhi. Later this evening will be back to our hotel (probably with lots of shopping bags).

Proceed to Shimla
We will start our journey to Shimla on this day. We shall catch a train to Kalka and from there onwards will switch to the narrow gauge Toy Train. We will reach Shimla by evening and will check-in at Hote. The evenings in Shimla are excellent to walk over The Mall Road and The Ridge. Dinner and stay will be at Hotel.

Shimla local sightseeing
Soon after lunch we will take on the sightseeing of Shimla, starting from The Indian Institute of Advanced Studies to Museum, Christ Church at The Ridge and Gaiety Theatre and will be back to hotel for dinner and stay.

Proceed to Chail
It's a day to check-out of hotel and venture for a string of beautiful places - Kufri, Green Valley and Chail. We will reach Chail by afternoon, check-in to the hotel, have lunch, straightaway go to explore Maharaja’s Palace and Sunset Point and take an evening walk around bird sanctuary. Soon, we will be back at hotel to warm ourselves around bonfire, swing with a light music, relish the dinner and sleep tight.

Back to Delhi
We will check-out from hotel and take on our return journey to Delhi. Our lunch is planned at Chandigarh, as well as there are some things interesting - Rock Garden, an open complex handmade by Nek Chand using only waste products and Sukhna Lake. We will board a train to Delhi from Chandigarh, have dinner there and catch our flight back to London.
Inclusions and Exclusions
The stated price for the tour is for per person, travelling in a group of 2 (minimum), sharing a twin room. Single occupancy or solo travelling will be subject to availability and the cost may vary. Shimla Heritage Tour by Travel Theorem includes bed and breakfast accommodation in three, four or five star hotels (depending on the availability), three major meals during the tour at hotel, tickets for the UNESCO listed world heritage Toy Train, other train tickets, cabs/taxis, two-way air ticket to Delhi, escort throughout the tour and all taxes.
Cost of Indian Visa is not included. Anything not expressly stated shall not be included in the price.
